Week in review

Ended up not posting a week in review last week so I want to make sure and get this one in. This week was a real bummer & a reality check. First, I was supposed to be in Hawaii all last week but happened to be booked on ATA which of course went Bankrupt - Whooo Hooooo! So that was a crappy start - Then I saw my new credit card bill and it turns out I spent almost $800 in advertising & signups and what not this month. And I gotta say most of it was a total waste. Started a PPC campaign and Miva.com - Deposited $200 but couldn't figure out how to set a daily spending limit. They figured it out for me and dropped all $200 in 1 and 1/2 days! I was only advertising the new Income Accelerator Program and got Zero signups. Seems like a pretty crappy investment to me. Dropped another $80 or so on Viral Adwords where I paid for "Targeted Hits" - I got 5,000 hits basically dumped on my site over a whole 2 days. When I checked where they were generated from, Yahoo Stats said McClintock High School. So people searching for a High School in AZ is targeted traffic? To say the least I was none too happy with that spending spree.

I do have some pretty good news though. I found a new online business venture called Online Business Alliance. Recommended to me by my best networking friend. So I go to check it out and sign up and buy the $5 ebook. What I didn't realize is that this actually comes with a heck of a lot more than just an ebook! You get 2 choices after you pay - Download your ebook & move on, or Start your new business with OBA. So I started exploring. This is a pretty cool deal - For that $5 ebook I purchased, I get the entire OBA business package included! And it's a really impressive package - Splash Pages, Autoresponder Service, Advertising Ideas etc. I spent about 1/2 hour going through the Setup steps and the more I went through, the more excited I got about the business.

Basically I promote the business by selling the $5 ebooks. With that $5 ebook you get the ENTIRE online business package which comes with 12 splash pages, the autoresponder service, etc. The advertising suggestions is where I found a great site called TrafficHoopla. They give me a list of the top 5 Traffic Exchanges to join and then the remaining top 20 also. So I went and joined them all!

I really still have a TON of work to get this thing off the ground, but I believe it's a really great program. I love the NetSuccess programs, but I think this might work a lot better for the clients on Traffic Exchanges. Of course the Exchanges are 70% of my advertising right now, so I get to offer stuff that is cheap to sign up for.

I also signed up as an affiliate for IPower - I was considering opening a new blog JUST for promoting this. It is the cheapest hosting I have found and I can make $100 per referral which is really incredible. See I'm trying to think beyond the traffic exchanges. It's hitting me pretty hard that traffic exchange population is just a 5 second attention span kinda place. They want to see all flash and make $1 million tomorrow ALL FREE - I guess this is why exchanges are filled with flash - The kinda stuff I have seen way too much of - This is leading me to my next thought about the 90% of online business seekers failing and is something I want to write an article about...even though it may offend everyone who reads it (because they are all traffic exchange newbies). Basically my theory is that it only makes sense to target the 90% of people who are looking for all flash and instant wealth. They will sign up for anything and everything and then give up in 2 weeks when they haven't made it big. Well, if 90% of your traffic are strictly these kind of people, then THEY are who you are marketing towards - So give them all flash - I feel like what I'm doing is different, and helpful. But everytime I see a poor review from a fellow Link Referral member, it is Always someone with less than 5 ratings who pretty much JUST started. My site doesn't fit into that flash stuff - so maybe I should be promoting more Flash when it comes to exchanges and promote my own site with PPC campaigns - I would say that a LOT of the LinkReferral traffic & reviews are great - I have gotten a lot of positive comments from members there who realize that it takes more than 2 weeks to succeed. I am happy about that for sure - I just need to target the flash stuff on the exchanges, I'm thinking.

I'm also using the Pop Unders for the OBA splash pages - Right now i'm buying these from BuyHitsCheap.com. My understanding is that Pop Unders are great for flashy items and the OBA splash pages have that quick eye appeal. So far I've had a few signups come this way. And with BuyHitsCheap, I get 10,000 pop unders for $12.50 - I can set them to be used hourly, daily or all at once. I can set up multiple campaigns and delete them anytime. Right now I have 4 splash pages on pop unders and I will probably be examining which ones work best in a few days.

This is getting super long but I had a lot of stuff going on this week. Goal this week is to get my OBA set up on LinkReferral. I had some timing issues and now they cancelled that email I was using. I got 2 signups w/in a day there which was nice. Problem was I originally put a different program under that email and then requested a cancellation because I found out it was a huge scam (site closed next day - obviously patience isn't my strongest point lol). I decided to just add the OBA account instead, and of course 3 days later they got my cancellation request for the 1on40.com account -

So I gotta promote OBA like mad this week - I love the program and it's cheap to sign up for so I think it's an easy seller that should end up making good money at some point - Just gotta get the word out. I gotta get exchange credits so my sites will get seen on all these new exchanges. I think I'm cancelling my TrafficSwarm pro membership - I got 2,500 credits this month and they were GONE in 2 days! I can't pay $30/month for 2 days of credits - That is a lot of money with what I'm using for exchange traffic. I think I will cancel that and get the Pro Membership at Traffic Hoopla - not only is it a Great service & exchange, I also can earn $5 for each member I refer there - So I get a 2 for 1 deal with building up referrals on 25 different exchange sites and $5 per referral at TrafficHoopla (only if they go pro though) - For $20 per month I think that is a way better deal than the $30 I'm spending at TrafficSwarm...The ONLY reason I spend money on pro memberships is so I don't HAVE to surf - but TS has been eating my credits up like crazy. I've gone through 4,500 credits in less than 2 weeks this month...Thats ridiculous...

so as this has gotten INCREDIBLY long, I have to say goodnight - Lots of thoughts & Lots of work ahead of me. I have spent a TON of money this month so I really need to come up with a budget I can live with. I'm thinking $300/month for everything. I hope that will get me a decent start but we'll see.

So much accomplished this week!

This was a MONSTER week for me as far as getting stuff done. I spent most of my week advertising the new Income Accelerator program. I got started with Yahoo UK and set some ads up. I have to still wait and see if my PPC ads will be approved because it is technically an affiliate site. I hope it does get approved so I can start getting some targeted visitors. It seems like an awesome program to me and it pays $100 per referral. But you have to start with a little money and sign up for the hosting. Fact is everyone on traffic exchanges want to make all kinds of money and pay nothing. It doesn't work that way from what I have found. So I will keep looking for new advertising and hopefully start to generate quality traffic. I signed up for a trial run at BuyCheapHits.com - 10,000 hits for $12.50 - Pretty good deal and most of my new site traffic is from that. I also signed up with I-web-marketing.com for a traffic package. $99 was the minimum but that's for 50,000 visitors. So far they are sending about 120/day. What I'm GUESSING is that means they are real visitors (vs. the PopUnders). I also bought a starter pack at ViralAdwords - They promise targeted visitors and the NetSuccess owner said he gets VERY good results with them. I also bought 12 keywords at ExactSeek - $70 for 3 months running my ads. I have already had about 50 hits this week from those. I'd say that is "fairly" targeted traffic. Probably not quite PPC quality, but $12/keyword for 3 months advertising is a great deal.

Finally got some new programs up that I wanted to work on! I made my first official Squeeze Page! See it here - Now, don't laugh, because it is a bit rough - The fonts are not quite up to my high standards LOL - Actually, it's a great deal - I chose the Guide to Using & Understanding Traffic Exchanges ebook as my free giveaway. This seems like a perfect giveaway since 80% of my advertising is on exchange traffic right now. All you do is fill in your email & name and you get to download it instantly. I give it away free and what I get is an email address to start building my lists (Another thing I've been wanting to work on for awhile). Also, when they download it, there is a link offered to Instant Squeeze Pages where at least a few might join - So I get emails to build my list and at least a possibility of getting a referral to Instant Squeeze Pages. There is a LOT more to work on here. They have a lot of ebooks that come with "backend" advertising - So anyone who signs up through my pages and buys other products later, all count towards my affiliate revenue. I think this program is awesome.

I also got my other new site up this week - MakinEZMoney.com - Basically it was a cut & paste site for Get Google Ads Free - I think this is a cool program and the commission structure is very nice - 75% of the $67/sale. Plus the product is awesome. Anyone who has searched PPC prices obviously knows how expensive they are - If you can get them free, $67 is NOTHING in comparison. NOTE HERE: I have not bought the program yet - I am going to buy it this week so I can provide the best possible review. I try to keep it real and not just link a ton of my affiliate links. I actually know & use what I'm promoting (which is why I'm spending SOOO much money lately! :) You can see MakinEZMoney.com right here - easy for me to get excited about this -

My Purchase of Aweber -
The autoresponder is $20/month which seems high to me. But I found some of the "cheaper" ones and they are just too hard to figure out. I bought the Ultimate AutoResponder for $4.97 - 1 time fee - AWESOME I'm thinking. Of course it comes with a 16 page manual and 8 different download links. I tried to read through but man, that's too much work for me. I can write and I can copy & paste, but my Web Skills are limited at best. I looked into a couple others also and they were $12-$16/month anyway, so I decided to go with Aweber. It is really easy to use and I might become an affiliate there also. You get unlimited autoresponders which is crucial for me. I'm going to be using it in at least 3 places just to start. But I'm going to need it for each and every squeeze page that I generate also. When you start needing something THAT much, it's best to just pay the $20/month and get the best one - AWeber is the best one -

So as you can see, I got a whole lot done this week. Also joined TrafficDigger & a few other exchanges. Had to surf a lot of sites this week since I now have SO many programs up & running. But things are starting to go really well I think. I'm getting a steady 200-300 hits daily for Affiliate Curve. Starting to get signups for exchanges and find even more advertising sources. Overall I think I'm on the right path. I do wish the money would just roll in, but I know it's not that easy :)

I also submitted some more articles and joined another new program last night. Looks like a good one and as soon as I figure out what it is, I'll let you all know.

Have a great week - Let me know what you think of my Squeeze Page please. I'm still pretty new to all this! I'm trying hard though and I'm going to succeed!

So much going on this week!

The new website is up and I'm pretty happy with it so far. It's giving me a good amout of space to work with. I have all my traffic exchange reviews and cheap advertising options up with my own reviews. I hope you check it out and I hope you like it. This past week I just found a new program and I'm SUPER excited about it. It's the Income Accelerator Program and it's brought to us by NetSuccess. It's a lot like my Affiliate Junktion plan, but with the Income Accelerator program, we can earn $100 PER REFERRAL! Aff. Junktion only paid $2 per and it was the exact same thing.

Check out my total review at AffiliateCurve.com

This is a very exciting program and I am just so excited. This is a very large commission structure with a great company -

My week in review is pretty much that. The new program and me getting the advertising launched. I've got more stuff to post as soon as I get a chance - Lots of thoughts about what I'm trying to learn every day. Check out the new program right here - it's really exciting!

it's finally up!

Finally got the website up last night. What a first day - Already having counter issues. I installed the Google Analytics code last night and now I don't see it on my Control hosting panel. I emailed yahoo for support and hopefully they will help me - They really are awesome, and the only problem i've ever had there is the site statistics - But Google's Analytics really rock - it shows me EVERYTHING...so it is a MUST have for real stats on how I'm doing.

I do know that I got about 30 hits today JUST from "organic" traffic - which is really impressive. It basically means my site is generating traffic off normal search engines, and not just traffic exchanges. I think this is going to be huge, for me - It's important to get as much traffic as possible, but regular search engine traffic is going to be higher quality overall...

The Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate book has a great chapter on SEO ranking and stuff - All about organic traffic -

Anyway, ironing out the kinks and getting the advertising campaign going - Go check out the site AffiliateCurve.com

i haven't gone anywhere!

I don't mean to not update my blog more regularly - I've been extremely focused on getting the website up and organized the best that I can. I'm thinking about a "FLASH" page where I list nothing but get-rich-quick stuff - Hell, who knows - Sign up for 20 and even 1 works, then maybe that's worth it - Better for you if I waste my time on it and it least my AVOID section will grow :)

Just been spending this week updating sites for traffic tornado, getting my Viral rotator programs listed - When I launch the website I'm going to REALLY start heavy advertising - And when I do I want you all to see a well organized list of EASY TO USE resources...I'm finding them everyday - I just want to come out with a good product - not just get it up for the sake of having it published - that's all for now - check out the traffic tornado - really if you want to get your site listed on a LOT of exchanges, or if your focus is to build referrals...this is a good system for doing both - Already 4 downline members and i just signed up 2 days ago! so it's already working - beyond that I have like 3 referrals at the exchanges listed - so the effects go on and on....it's totally free - just takes some time

This is awesome!

After you have tried a few traffic exchanges, check out TrafficTornado! Sign up free and you just go and join whichever programs you want. You enter your own affiliate ID's for each program, then promote just 1 site. This is a really great idea and should build you a SERIOUS downline quickly. They have over 20 exchanges listed that you can join. You don't have to go to each and every one to promote on them - Just promote TrafficTornado and you get them all done - This looks like an excellent opportunity to build up LOTS of traffic all from one place - Join it now

I didn't list it, so here it is!

Instant Squeeze Page Generator - I signed up for this and it's really, REALLY cool. It makes me feel like a pro - With this program you generate your own "squeeze pages" - You pick a template, pick the giveaway, insert the script (gotta have a program for this, but they have a free one you can use) and off you go - It's an incredibly professional looking piece of work - You can do it free, but you can get 50% off the pro fee if you sign up for $47 (otherwise it's $99!) - I don't know if you (or me!) are really ready for what this program does, but I know I will be soon and I want it in my affiliate arsenal - Remember list building is something in the back of my mind and this is going to be a great product for doing that - Plus, Instant Squeeze Page Generator also turns into another Affiliate Opportunity for you to promote - With very nice commissions - check it out and judge for yourself. I think it's a great program!

Week 2 in review

Well I found a couple more great traffic generating programs. My website is ALMOST ready to go. I just need to optimize and tweak it a bit. Got tons of hits from LinkReferral, TrafficSwarm, EasyHits & 4x4hits. All these are great. I think it should do even better once the site is up.

Have mixed reviews about Adland Pro PPC ads - They are extremely inexpensive and I got a TON of hits, but very few conversions. Like ZERO for NetSuccess which is a really incredibly program (in my opinion) but I did get 5 sales for Affiliate Junktion. Out of 1,700 hits though, I'm thinking this isn't a highly targeted advertising source. My intention is to still purchase the PPC ads (I haven't found anything cheaper!) but to hopefully get some keywords that aren't so "generalized" if you will - My thought process is that out of 70,000+ users at Adland, at least some of them must be seriously looking into programs. So I'm going to try to buy keywords that generate a lot less traffic, but the traffic will hopefully be more targeted. It's a little discouraging to see 1,700 hits and only $10 in commissions - I paid $40 for the ads :)

But it's all about learning right now - and that's what I'm doing. The great thing about Adland Pro is that you can check the CTR% - so certain keywords don't have a TON of traffic, but the click through % is pretty good - like 2-5% (high in this case). So perhaps I just need to find the RIGHT ones here and get less clicks, but more signups - I'll let you know how that goes (unless I find the magic keyword - just kidding :)

Goals this week -
Finish site optimization and publish!!!! Yippeee -
Read Google Adwords cause it will be time to get serious advertising going when the site is up
Go through NetSuccess Matrix - This is the replacement of TrafficSwarm and is supposed to be awesome - Need to get up to speed
Go through a list of traffic generators that my friend Marilyn sent me
I have a squeeze page generator program and will tinker with that - Looks like an amazing product that really produces results - I listed it a few posts down if you want to check the link. Basically I think I'm going to need to start building email lists, and that is one of the major goals of that program - Give away free ebooks and get emails - we'll see
Also got aNOTHER new program offer from Get Google Ads free - so that needs to be done cause it looks great -

So as you can see i have just a TON on my plate - but so far I'm also getting a lot done...even in an hour or 2 per day....I think i'm doing alright - but the deeper I get, the larger the puddle is - or something like that - basically I do one thing and it just leads into something else - It's a VAST world for online marketers....
